I am assuming that only based on something I read ago, during a beta test. Halo 2 Vista will not use DX So, please, for the love of bungie and the sanity of the moderators, please stop posting this. Use the search button, it is there for a reason. It's a moot point, anyway, considering how Halo 2 doesn't even use DX No and DX10 is still Vista exclusive.
Did you hear this from Fake? If not, source please? I highly doubt this is true. It would be much simpler and more beneficial to just get Vista.
